British Chamber of Commerce

The British Chamber of Commerce was formed in the Czech Republic in April 1997. Since then membership has grown to over 330 companies representing a broad spectrum of British interests in the Czech Republic, from major investors to individual entrepreneurs.

The primary objectives of the Chamber are to promote and enhance business relations between the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, to help improve the competitive and business environment in the Czech Republic, and to provide a platform for creating new business opportunities.

The Chamber is managed by the Board of Directors, and administered by five of its executive staff.

The Chamber works independently of the British Embassy in the Czech Republic, but maintains very good relations with the British Embassy and its Trade & Investment department.

The British Chamber of Commerce is a member of COBCOE - the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Continental Europe (www.cobcoe.org.uk) As recognition of the Chamber's substantial growth, influence and achievements over the past years, the Chamber was identified the best from twenty three British Chambers in Europe and was presented with the prestigious Chamber of the Year 2004 award.

Canadian Chamber of Commerce

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic was established in 1997 as a sister chamber to the Czech Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Toronto. The Chamber is a non-profit organization whose activities are financed wholly by membership fees, services rendered, and through sponsorships.

As a business-networking organisation, the Chamber establishes platforms for its members to meet various business and government leaders.

Membership in the Chamber is open to anyone who is interested in establishing contact with the Canadian community. Currently, the Chamber has around 170 members. The membership base consists of a variety of members with diverse backgrounds:

As a social-cultural organisation, the Chamber establishes social platforms where Canadians who live in the Czech Republic can network. The Chamber annually organizes or participates in numerous business and social events.

IBN

The IBN is Prague’s new business network organization specifically dedicated to local Czech and International Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs.

We strongly believe in the success of small and medium enterprises. Our network offers a non-judgmental environment in which the local Czech and expatriate business community can participate in productive dialogue. We offer such activities as networking events, seminars, workshops and practical information exchange for the overall benefit of our members. A fully interactive website and opportunities to promote and share your business with others.

The IBN is an ideal place to meet others who have similar business interests, issues, and challenges. Membership to the IBN can help your firm generate ideas and feedback for success, provide information exchanges, and introduce you to other business organizations that can further the growth of your enterprise. EBA

The EBA is a community of business decision makers bound by a shared honor code based on solid business ethics. We promote our mission through high quality networking events, executive dinners, seminars and gala evenings.
